Easy DIY Treat Bags (perfect for school, gift exchanges, and party favors)

4th Dec 2015

Looking for an easy gift for the holidays? DIY treat bags are the perfect project for you and your loved ones this time of year, especially if you have a few little helpers. Check out our adorably festive bags filled with your choice of gourmet MJCC treats.

Step 1: Choose your favorite festive Mason Jar Cookie flavor (we suggest Apple Pie Spice, Winter Wonderland, or Chocolate Mint Candy Cane)

Step 2: Head out to your nearest Container Store, Michael’s or any craft store in the area and get the following items (or something similar, if you don’t have time to go to the store, check out Amazon Prime)

  • Snowflake, Gingerbread & Gold trim Cello Bags
  • Household Clothing Line Clips (which you can cover with your favorite color glitter!)
  • Name Tags (make your own if with any color construction paper!)
  • Pencils & Pens

  • Step 3: Decorate your name tags to make sure party guests know what they’re getting and who it’s from. We also recommend adding a note for any potential allergens like nuts and eggs if you’re handing out in the workplace.

Step 4: Bake cookies by following directions on the back of the jar’s hang tag; while you’re cookies are in the oven decorate your clothing line clips how you want if at all.

Step 5: Once the cookies have cooled, place them inside your Cello bag and close with glitter clothing line clips.

Step 6: Share a bit of holiday cheer with friends, family, or colleagues!
